If I am required to pay undergrad RAs $15/ hour, I will definitely hire fewer of them. Silver lining: less paperwork for me.

@PhuzzieSlippers @andraydomise My RA’s get paid out of grant funds and the minimum is $25/hr. I just hired 3 for $30/hr. They’re only allowed to work 20/hr per week and they gotta live. They’re still taking courses on top of that.

@PhuzzieSlippers @andraydomise Plus, departments set the pay rate based on the yearly budget. If you’re given $100k for the fiscal year, you budget accordingly. Hire accordingly and pay them, because they’re already saving depts money by not having to hire more faculty. 🤷🏽‍♀️
