I’ve found that it’s counterproductive to “lashout” on one another, when it turns out you were right about a topic. Even if those who were in the wrong were so cruel when they thought they were in the right. (Easier said than done, I know from personal experience.)

I recall learning that approach in my communications class at uni. It’s a shame we didn’t have that course or method taught throughout grade school. I genuinely believe this nation and world would be far more peaceful now, had it been.
