Dear friends. Thank you for your prayers. I am beginning day 4 and there is still a lot of pain. When I was 32 both my hips were replaced; when I was 40 my wrist was rebuilt with bolts; and now I have a completely new left knee. There will not be much of me left to resurrect!

My friend was taken away by armed guards and interrogated for 12 hours. He has one week to leave China and tomorrow morning they will tell him if it is a temporary ban or a permanent ban. Please pray! He is a spiritual father to many.

The Apostle Paul and James are not teaching contrary doctrines of salvation. Paul addresses the cause of our salvation (faith), while James addresses the result of our salvation (works). From both writers, we gain a comprehensive or holistic view of the work of God in salvation.

A multitude of "professing" Christians sit in churches every Sunday and yet their sin is never exposed or pressed upon their conscience with enough force to break their hearts or evoke even the most meager confession toward God. The Word and the Spirit are the only remedies.

Take heart believer! Although the transformation is often slow, it will be complete... "For He who began a good work will perfect it" (Philippians1:6). The ongoing struggle proves that it is by grace alone that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9). THERE IS ONLY ONE HERO IN THIS STORY.

Biblical love is not poetic or theoretical, but real and practical. It is a love that dies to self and risks all for the sake of the Name and for those who are called by it. It is evidence of regeneration and conversion because it is an impossibility apart from them.
