I was in an AMA and a certain donut asked me to speak on the challenges of being a woman in the NFT space.
It was a fantastic question, so I thought Iβd share my thoughts here.
I donβt know the RIGHT way to handle such a complex issue, but hereβs how Iβd do it.
π§΅π
1/ Weβve all had inappropriate comments cast our way, but you can choose to respond in a way that EDUCATES people.
This is key, behaviours are often ingrained and subconscious, show those men the right way; weβre not fighting against them, we need them to be part of the change.
2/ Thereβs a fine line between SIMP-culture jokes and straight up harassment and/or abuse of power. Itβs not an easy line to walk but we can help people adjust their paths.
This is not about censorship by women, but a collective effort to build a healthy community.
3/ You can also choose to ignore them. While itβs a worthy cause to fight for, not everyone is a fighter. If you are more comfortable shutting out negativity, that is completely ok. Itβs not your sole responsibility to fix this, and weβre all here to share the burden.
4/ Spend time pulling each other up. This doesnβt mean forming some sort of big female circle-jerk, but when you see another girl working hard, and you truly like what theyβre doing, recognise that they may need an extra hand up.
5/ If you are struggling, seek out other females in leadership roles. We have plenty within PXN and the Nanoverse and they are ALL kickass.
Can I get a roll-call please π§
6/ My Discord DMs are open, and I read everything. Most of them are asking generic questions that I leave to the mod team, but if you have a genuine concern, especially regarding sexist behaviour, I WILL see it, and I WILL reply.
7/ Iβm not just preaching here, these are all things I personally need to pay more attention to. I move at such speed in this space and itβs easy to just brush it offβ¦ but this is important and I will work harder at championing these issues.
8/ And finally, I must say the vast majority of men in this space are lovely and respectful. Shoutout to all our rat-bros, thank you for standing with us π
Bro check - whoβs here to help support?

Why there is nothing wrong with
@projectPXN
's community policies and self-moderation. How it is actually beneficial to holders and why
