He definitely wasn't the only one to blame, he is fully capable of making a good movie (the first chapter of IT) but even at his best he has less sauce than Raimi at his weakest.

well his original got completely torn to shreds as soon as james gunn came in. pretty sure a superman/supergirl end credit scene was supposed to happen, reverse flash (not sure if it was a cameo), more barry scenes, etc. so i donβt blame andy tbh

James Gunn didnt do anything lmao. If youre referring to "giving notes" thats not the same as being directly involved in the movie mkaing process

Yeah the movie went through a ton of rewrites and changes over the years j think they just wanted to release it and be done with it

The batman action scenes in that movie were good. Perhaps, that's why he was chosen. They realized he could possibly make a good Batman film if the studio doesn't interfere.
