@NBCNews Damn, if their interest rates weren't so high and continued to accumulate every year, I'd be able to go to Hawaii too. I've been paying for 8 years and owe more now than when I started payments. It's bullshit!

@NBCNews For anyone that didn’t read the article. This is a private company. Nobody forced anyone to take a loan from them. If you borrow money you need to pay it back and not complain

@NBCNews Why isn’t Bernie blaming the schools for ripping people off? Why blame the loan company? It’s not their fault schools are giving out worthless degrees

@NBCNews Honestly Federal Student Loan interest rates aren’t much lower IMO. Students should have much lower rates... how are they ever expected to re-pay these loans? We have a combination of both Federal & private loans & I pray we can help my daughter get out from under the debt.

@NBCNews Student loans are considered 51.2% of all Federal Government "Assets." An entire generation of Americans serving as debtors is now considered half of Americas "wealth." Complete modern day debt slavery:

@NBCNews @SallieMae If you have money for that, can you forgive my loans? I’m >$50k in debt because I needed higher education. By the way, I didn’t even dorm. And I went to a state school. But you know. I’ll just be in debt for the rest of my life while you celebrate our misery.

@NBCNews I would love to see the credit card and budgets of the people complaining. When I had hardship, i tightened my expenses meaning going to marshalls instead of macys, eating out less, cut out leisure, traveled less, etc. The moral of the story is everyone can make sacrifices
