Almost all commentary about Mr. Eazi and Temi’s relationship from Nigerians on Twitter are weird. They portray him as “investing smartly in love” or other such things that reduce their relationship to a transaction. It’s disgusting and unkind.
Why is every aspect of human relationship transactional for you people, where the terms of transaction are financial or access-related? Why don’t you see humans beyond what you can benefit from them financially or network wise? It’s disgusting.
@MsNwangwa
The challenge lies with how it is expressed & exploited but when distilled, relationships are transactional. There's something called an emotional bank account. Consciously or not, we give with a desire to receive; when we don't receive, we are disappointed. (1/2)
@EyitemiA
There’s a reason I qualified the transaction as “financial and access-wise” in a follow up tweet. I understand the exchange of emotions. It’s what you owe your partner. But reducing people’s relationship to financial and access based benefit is unkind and undignified.
@NS_Kanayo
Lmao. “I” won’t understand? My parents are accomplished. I made my first millions at 23 and currently earn good money. I’m a royal princess of an ancient kingdom. Yet, I have human decency to know everything isn’t a transaction. Now, why don’t you have human decency?
@MsNwangwa
We lost all integrity as a person.
In a country where people think everyone has a prices.
In a society where have zero loyalty for one another, I'm not Suprised.
@MsNwangwa
It says alot about their insecurity& their rlp with money. They’re still the ones lacking personality with “just have money”. They’d rather ignore all the nuance and believe that the billionaire, his daughter and all the family are being swindled than face facts.
@MsNwangwa
To Nigerians, Love = Transaction. But deep in people's heart they know it's more than transaction.
If they Mr. Eazi & Temi's relationship as transactional then they should go get their own transactional relationship and leave them to breathe for a minute
