The point isn't that Jones was scared of Ngannou, because he was very clear about that (just like Ngannou has said repeatedly about Jones):

The point is: These men aren't scared of each other.
Some fighters just understand their worth and will fight for it.
Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou both did that. Unfortunately, for now, the result seems to be that their paths won't cross inside the cage.
