**James Harden** being the guy that takes less money to help teambuild is going to send The Narrative into unprecedented disarray. Skip Bayless in hell. Stephen A has vertigo. Windhorst sigh-complaining to squirrels
ESPN Sources: 76ers star James Harden has declined his $47.3M option and become a free agent. He keeps real the possibility of negotiating a new deal that would deliver the Sixers roster-building flexibility in free agency – including use of the full $10.5M exception.

who wouldve thought that JAMES HARDEN would say no to being the 2nd highest paid player in the NBA to help Furkan Korkmaz win a championship
@Michael_Levin
I agree, but isn't it possible that it will just be a back-loaded contract? Maybe he takes less now, but then we have to pay him 60 in 3 years?
@Michael_Levin
Maybe Kyrie was talking about Harden when he said “Normal people keep the world going, but those who dare to be different lead us into tomorrow.”
@Michael_Levin
He declined one year at 47 to get 3 years guaranteed at 38-40 at least. He is not a hero…he is smart. If he played out the one year 47 he wouldn’t make nearly that in free agency next year. It’s about guaranteed $$$. Plus I’m sure they are taken care of him on the side.
