I found education to be an all-encompassing and dynamic beat. Education touches every sector of our society and everybody cares about their school! Schools became the center of the news like never before and taking it on turned into a rewarding experience.

I met a lot of students and educators, spent time in classrooms, watched board meetings, and spoke to families on anything and everything education the past 10 months. I’m a better journalist for it.
