This is the right answer to the wrong questions. T&T was/is NOT in a recession. T&T is in a STAGNATION which is worse than a recession. T&T has averaged ZERO growth for 10 years. One quarter or one year of growth does NOT signal a reversal of a trend that has lasted 10 years.

It has stagnated in part because of policies you & others have advocated for 40 years: cut wages, cut taxes, cut public services, make it easier to fire workers, privatise state assets, liberalize finance, denude trade unions & let "free market" reign on all aspects of our lives.

Recessions are reflective of the natural business cycle. Stagnations are manifestations of deeper structural problems that override the ups and downs of the business cycle.
