My father needs a very dangerous heart operation, complicated by rapidly failing health while in hospital. We are scheduled for Monday 11am. And just FYI, if he wasn't a fully vested SAG union member, we'd be screwed. Get your heads out of your a$$es about healthcare, people.

Hope he has a quick recovery , being Canadian we don't have the health care problem we just have the waiting time , it might take 9 months for your dad to get surgery so that part sucks

I hope all goes well. Being a millionaire or not, you are stuck in a crappy situation and this isn't the way healthcare should be. Dealing with my own health woes, I can't say that I understand, but I empathize. I wish you the best in this situation.

I love you Mark, and I'll pray for your father, but with SPN you could pay out of pocket if needed. For people like me - disabled, fixed income ($1300/month), supporting an adult disabled son, $6k in debt for plumbing repairs, house needs new roof - that's a slap in the face.

There is no "but". I'm not on SPN. Never assume you know ANYONE's financial position. Sounds like a single payer system would be just what you needed. The a$$holes in the Senate have social welfare for life...
