A reminder about the excellent French lidar viewer by Simon Gascoin @sgascoin here It provides a DTM view of the current national coverage as a side-by-side viewer with google satellite imagery for comparison. Great for archaeological site prospecting 🙂

@MarkWalters_ @sgascoin Interesting. Was playing around with GIS-sofware and some (Dutch) elevation data...Pretty much the same result 👇🏻. Reveals what's just right beneath our feet.

@MarkWalters_ @sgascoin Thank you so much for this link. I was not aware of Simon Gascoin's work. I have tried several times in the past to use LIDAR in France, but I have really struggled to find my way around their sites.

@MarkWalters_ @sgascoin What I love about this excellent lidar viewer for France by @sgascoin is looking at the hidden WWI battle scarred landscape hidden inside some older woodland … this was to the east of Amiens
