Not that I’m going to be upset if AP gets the gig because I won’t. But…Why wouldn’t we want a proven HC who has been there over a guy who has never even been a DC? Take emotion out of it and view it analytically for a moment please.

Honestly I think if we go that route I would ask AP to stay on staff with a position of his choosing promise him to be the next head coach when or if the coach we hire leaves

They will not give the job to AP.
He will in all likelihood be held over, but I don't see them giving him the reigns to the kingdom. He's done nothing to deserve it.
He has beaten the Jets, Giants, Chargers, and yes, the Chiefs. The 3-0 loss to the Vikes and to the Colts, bad.

Yeah I won't be uspest at all if it's AP, but he's simply not ready IMO also. I WILL be upset if we don't make a hard run at JH. He's proven to absolutely be ELITE as an NFL HC, and the fact that he hasn't won a SB yet makes him that much more desirable. Still HUNGRY for a SB.

Emotion out of it, name another Raiders HC (other than Madden & Flores) who did things the Raiders' way? I cannot even put Gruden 2 stints on this list. You'd have to go back to Art Shell's first go 'round as HC. The question is, can AP make us Champions? I believe he can

Just because he wants to do it the Raiders way doesn’t mean he will or even has the experience to succeed.

It would be interesting to see which players would be drawn to play for
@Raiders
with AP running the team.
We are a qb and OC short of a playoff birth after fans had resigned themselves to tanking for a higher draft pick.
A lower cost option and no need to start over.

may be tired of the re-tread coaches (Del Rio, Gru, JMD) and might want someone new, with a fresh perspective. I like AP and am rooting for him, but in any case, I’m just sitting back and watching the show. 🤷🏻♂️
