The Prime Minister said: “2014 earnings from the energy sector … was 17 billion dollars. By 2016 it was one billion dollars.”
This is untrue!

“Here are the fiscal numbers according to the Central Bank’s review of the economy 2017. The PM suggested that revenue from oil and gas / energy dropped to TTD 1 billion the year they took office - FY2015/16. Not so according to the Central Bank.”

From the 2017 Review of the Economy, Central Bank of T&T - energy revenue fell from TTD18.6 billion in FY2014/15 to TTD6.6 billion in FY2015/16.
