We haven’t beat Iowa in wrestling since 2004. The complaint on Jamie is his lack of embracing the evolution of the college landscape, his inability to admit fault, and his condescending tone to the fan base. We need to raise our standards and stop comparing them to the 90s.
@BleezyBlai
I don't disagree with your last two points, but the fist is simply not true.
He was way ahead of everyone on CyTown, he's enabled us to join the facilities arms race, etc..
His foresight has been better than just about anyone else in the business.
@MNelson_ISU
I had this thought last night as I was winding down.
I said, “Dang, how good do we have it right now that we’re arguing with our AD on…*administrative stuff* and not actually the teams, coaches, etc.?”
Perspective is always good.
@MNelson_ISU
Dude I’m in the same boat. I didn’t know so many had beef. I guess I feel really spoiled the way it is. The success of the programs, the facilities, cy town, etc. I’ve never even worried about a logo before. lol
@MNelson_ISU
This right here.
@IASTATEAD
has completely changed Iowa State Athletics for the better. It’s crazy to me people don’t remember what this place was like before he arrived. We as Iowa State fans are so damn lucky he chose us and has stayed loyal throughout his tenure.
@MNelson_ISU
There are many small issues that can be debated, but I think there is a lack of appreciation for the really big challenges college athletics have faced in his tenure, including competitive facilities, COVID, conference re-alignments & NIL. JP has been ahead of the curve on these.
