The range of venues across the country which Ian McKellen is visiting next year for Ian McKellen on stage is just brilliant. The NT and the Marine Lyme Regis, the RSC and the Braid in Ballymena, the Edinburgh Int fest and Burnley Youth Theatre. Bravo.

It is as much part of the UK tourism offer as b&bs but it also does crucial work within communities and tells us the stories of who we are and what we dream of back to ourselves.
