I think this is a difference without distinction. Hitler was a politician. He was not a military person. After WW I, Germany was in shambles. Hitler, the opportunist identified Jews, and and a number of other groups to blame. They were the cause. whatever you choose to call them.
@LucBernard
Why do we feel someone has to be forced, she didn't deny it? African American history is littered with enough of that. It amazes me that defenders of Jewish history tend to forget African American history. Over 15 million Africans were killed during the course of the slavery era
@LucBernard
Race is about skin color in the USA. Yes, in evil Nazi Germany it meant something else. But she stating you can't tell the difference between someone who is Jewish or Gentile with the same complexion on the street.
@iram391
That’s like saying you can’t tell the difference between a Nordic person and Mediterranean. Not everyone from Europe and the Middle East look the same. We are very diverse.

(2)Religion can however cross generations through traditions and rituals, and genetic traits become exaggerated through inbreeding. I don't see anything hateful in what Goldberg is saying. My father was a Jewish Holocaust survivor.
@abarbarbar1
The Holocaust was a race based genocide not a religious one. That’s why even Jews who had converted to another religion were also killed by the Nazis.
@LucBernard
Forced apologies are worthless. Which is why this woman persists with her nonsense. She claims the Jews accepted the oppressor Nazi view of racial (inferiority) while failing tp acknowledge this race construct in herself. We all come from the same stardust.
@LucBernard
I like your approach. It's conversational You might learn a few things from her as well. I don't agree with her that it was "white on white" since white crayons don't look like these folks.

Whoopi Goldberg, who certainly didn't adopt a Jewish surname to identify with us, is not to be thought of as a friend of the Jews
