@Twisted0964
Because Halo 3s story is genuinely one of the worst and least interesting stories, while Halo 4 actually had a nice ending with Cortana's death
@LtCameron88
I mean you are right. Gameplay wise 3 is bland and story wise, it is the worst storytelling in all of Halo outside of season 1 of the show probably, and yet it is praised as the mesiah of gaming.
@LtCameron88
Not sure how Halo 4 is a good conclusion for Chief when it leaves him in a more vulnerable and questioning place than ever, unless you mean just for that game. I loved Halo 3βs conclusion, it was about retiring Chief and handing over his fate to the imagination of the player.
@pfhortnite
Chief was literally acted to be dead unless you got the Legendary Ending.
Halo 4 has Chief not only questioning himself, but discovering he's human.
He can easily retire after Halo 4
@LtCameron88
The way 4 ended was fine, except for the whole subplot of Cortana being down bad for chief and chief not even questioning it. I didn't like how chief and Cortana went from more or less buddy cop/partners in crime style to tragic romance.
@Tyeia
She wasn't down bad.
She had been with Chief since he got MK V, the Fall of Reach.
She cared for him because it was not only her mission, but because of the hardships they had been through.
@LtCameron88
Itβs really not though. The game comes full circle with the war being over and chief going back to sleep. I think humanity thinking chief is dead when in reality heβs just lost in space was a cool way to tie things off. Not sure how you canβt see Halo 3 as the definitive ending.
@gnomesolace
Because it's stupid.
You know, having Chief retire and become a trainer for the next generation of Spartans sounds more like a proper Chief ending over "Ima eep"
@LtCameron88
Halo 3 is the type of game that you don't really want to change
As for halo 4 only small stuff like chief waking up in different armor would need changing
He can get his new suit and weapons after meeting up with the infinity
I don't see a need to compare the to
