Pablo, you play MASTER CHIEF.
Master Chief has ALWAYS kept that helmet on and was able to convey his emotions via body language and actions.
Like, this actually annoys me
Pablo Schreiber, who plays Master Chief in the Halo show, explained why Master Chief doesnβt always wear his helemet: βYou're not going to be able to bring an audience along in a long-form story without having access to a character's face, which tells you what they're feeling,β¦

Actors canβt help but let their Ego get the better of them. I think itβs the writers fault but the way itβs filmed with showing Jimmy Rings buttnaked with no armor the whole time makes me think they just wanted to give Pablo some spotlight instead of making a adaptation of Chief.
@LtCameron88
Pablo saying he needs to take his helmet off is the EXACT same as Stallone saying the same thing when he played Dredd. And both fanbases hate them for it.
@LtCameron88
The armor and the voice are the entire character.
Likeβ¦ if they canβt figure out a way to get that right, why do this franchise at all?
@LtCameron88
They didn't just have him take his (iconic) helmet off. It was unearned narratively and the reveal was just a derpy face...
Not seeing the human, always seeing the soldier is part of what makes Master Chief compelling. That armor makes him look like more than he is.
@LtCameron88
So like....Halo fans are really unaware Microsoft has failed to get audiences interested in a Halo TV show for years and apparently a major thing holding Halo back from being on TV was showing the main characters face...
