In no way do I believe that all patrolling cops don’t already know this. This man knew he was, at the very least, putting lives in danger. He made a terribly reckless decision, as she wasn’t a threat to him or any other drivers on the road.
This is nuts. Nicole Harper was pulled over by an Arkansas state trooper. She pulled to the side, turned on her hazards, and looked for an exit.
He waited 20 seconds and then used a PIT maneuver to flip her car. She was pregnant.

This is a conversation (one of many) we NEED to have with law enforcement: women can NOT safely pull over on a dark road.
I know families who lost daughters due to kidnapping by monsters impersonating police. Pulling to a lit location is a critical safety move. Awful.

Excellent point. Especially at night! it would be safer for the officer walking up to the side window not to do it with no streetlights on freeway with limited shoulder room. It would be for both their safty and oncoming traffic

That shoulder is too narrow to fit a car. They’d both be in the lane of traffic, at night, where the speed limit is at least 60, but maybe 70. Not safe for either of them.

His superiors and co workers all are standing behind his actions. Until we reform their leadership, we will have to consider that the women we care about aren't safe from those imbued with state power in public.
