A second-gen Brit-Jamaican, whose music represents, celebrates and pays homage to her ancestral heritage, culture and identity.
Ayanna grew up in London and began playing piano at age 4 and cello at age 13.
She studied composition at trinity conservatoire and later at the Manhattan school of music.
An acclaimed and celebrated performer, Ayanna has collaborated with many stellar artists, including Anoushka Shankar, Nitin Sawhney, Andrea Bocelli and Jools Holland. She has also toured extensively across the UK, Europe and the US.
Ayanna has had commissions from many major UK orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra and has headlined some of the greatest stages in the world breaking the boundaries of perception of what a classically trained musician can be and what the genre should sound like.
