I know I'm gonna get hate but that's plain stupid & dangerous.
How did the teams dr not say no?
How does a guy not think maybe it's better for the team if I don't play. It's not only about him, his toughness & ego.
I know this personally sometimes we need others to protect us.

In Nashville in first meeting last month, Dumba sustained a dislocated rib, a broken rib and that caused a punctured lung. Was in dire straits, had trouble breathing and taken to hospital. Dumba said he was playing “no matter what” in playoffs.

I understand that but I can still be skeptical. It's a whole different discussion that isn't new. I fear long long term for the health and well being of athletes. No easy answers.

I’m all for playing through things, but I have to agree. What was he 1 bad hit away from collapsing a lung? Respect for trying to tough it out… but the team shoulda stepped in.

If he has a cracked rib it can get worse with a hit and end up puncturing other things like a spleen.

I seriously wonder what the medical review process is for players to play. That seems like an injury someone should not be playing through 😬
