In her recent Order, the Judge cited the Marine Bank v. Weaver case at least THREE times when discussing "what a reasonable XRP purchaser believed" when they bought XRP issue. It's a Supreme Court case which asks whether the thing sold was "commonly" thought of as a security.

The reason the SEC can't destroy or manipulate the documents on Bitcoin and Ethereum is because some former SEC executives are now on the defense at Ripple. Even though they are bound by official secrecy, they know whether the documents they receive are complete and accurate.

Can you believe this? Vitalik Buterin suggests the consensus algorithm of the xrp ledger as a possible solution to the problems of Ethereum and as basis for ETH 2. In September 2014! @CGasparino so much for Ethereum being "finished" & "decentralised" when xrp was always superior.
