Alan Rodemaker (Florida St starting QB Tate Rodemaker's father) just told me on
@MadDogRadio
that his son is feeling better but still going through concussion protocol after taking a hard hit vs FL last wk
he assessed his chances of playing tonight in the ACC Champ Gm at "50-50"

Have to wonder if FSU is putting pressure on the kid/medical team to play. Most important game of the year. If he isn’t healthy and doesn’t pass concussion protocol he shouldn’t play.
Does the team or an independent medical professional evaluate the player in this case?

Clearly his father is going along with the plan to complicate things for Louisville. They all know full well whether Tate is playing or not. This is strategy, and it’s what any smart coach would do in this situation.

FSU medical staff will act in the players best interest. Star players have missed several games this year and will be out tonight because they are not medically cleared.

Man I wish him well great kid. His health come before football on any given day. That the privilege that Mike Novell has a group of QBs that can step up on any giving Saturday. Go Noles

Wife is DNP at FSU Health and said they’d never rush a player through the concussion protocol (usually about two weeks.) Tate has had no live contact in practice and Glenn has taken most of (if not all) the first team reps. I’m pretty sure they know and just don’t want to say.
