Humanitarians around the world are ready to welcome the beleaguered Afghan people, especially women and girls. The Biden Administration must order our military to open the Kabul airport to civilian evacuation aircraft and provide a safe corridor for them to get the airport.

Trump signed a peace agreement with the Taliban before he left office. The Afghans have known for almost 4 years that American troops were leaving. Biden campaigned on it.

Disagree on military should be involved, lack of CAS, surrounded on all sides boxed in the airport with all the civilians, does Sarajevo ring any bells? Unfortunately Mediation is the only option left.
