i never do it, but today i canceled an interview 20min before the appt, as i received news of a dear relative's death from covid. my 1st thought was: it is so unprofessional. but i was not sure i would be able not to cry. i am ok. admitting weaknesses is >powerful than i thought

the most frustrating thing was that the news came from my family with 'sorry for bothering you, i know how busy you are'. what a disgustingly insensitive impression do I give with all this businesswoman approach.

@KristinaLCorner Yes Vulnerability is very attractive. It shows that you respect life and that family is more important. I’d want that as part of my “work” family. Now you have to follow this up with a way to show you’re dependable and won’t bail easily ;)

@KristinaLCorner Life comes first. It's hard to keep in perspective, but it always comes first. I'm sorry.

@KristinaLCorner You did well. It’s not a weakness. Be proud of yourself for being able to respect your emotions first, and for wanting to show up when you are in best shape ❤️

@KristinaLCorner I’m so sorry for your loss, Kristina. What you didn’t wasn’t unprofessional in the slightest.
