Yes, they are auctioning them off. When the auction was announced Vincent D'Onofrio tweeted that it was standard operating procedure to make new props and costumes for each season.

My favorite show ever. I just rewatched the whole thing, and can't stop pining for the fourth season, damnit! So much unfinished business. I absolutely loved Elektra and want to see her back really badly. She and Matt belong together. Epic love.
