The most dangerous bias in SEO is to think that any decrease in organic traffic was a Google update and any increase was self-made. That’s self-serving bias.

@Kevin_Indig Also dangerous: When not ranking on a specific SERP: "Well you know organic traffic is complicated and there's a lot of nuance to what exact queries are driving traffic ... " When ranking #1 on that SERP: "Hey everyone look at this ranking!"
