Good question. They should read Washington’s proclamation establishing Thanksgiving. Lincoln’s proclamation is also clear. Thanksgiving is a Christian tradition that has been watered down into a semi secular holiday. They weren’t going to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Just because the are "Palestinians" doesn't mean they are Muslim. There are "Palestinian" Christians.

I can accept that premise that but it doesn’t appear in the article. That is another reason to revisit the story and get facts. The Palestinian keffiyeh suggests otherwise though.
