@KazRowe This show falls SO firmly into "this was a style choice", the trend of wanting a fantastical show with any historical vibes to be Accurate is weird... especially when people don't generally expect that of actual historically-set shows..

@draculing Yeah i think its a topic that needs a lot of nuance and depends on the show/movie. Some stories its like, ok some effort for accuracy is needed. And when the costumes ahistorical its laziness. But other times its genuinely a design choice for the character or plot!

@KazRowe My partner & I were discussing this last night. it’s actually pretty cool that they chose to kinda mash together history with modern things. Like the language for one. They use both older terms and very familiar newer terms. Reminiscent of Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette

@KazRowe This. I'm normally a stickler for accuracy but when a show clearly telegraphs that they're not going to do that, I can roll with it. I just hate the shows that are like "We're going to get everything right!" and then they really, really don't.
