These systems need to be opt-in, not opt-out. We have never given consent for our work to be used in the first place. And many people for one reason or another won't even be able to opt-out, even if it was their wish.
This is only half the step. Let's go the rest of the way.

Couldn't agree more! Lots of deceased artist's work out there that shouldn't be just opted in because nobody can disagree!

I have a colleague who died, and their spouse (who is remarried and their spouse is being a champ about this <3) already had issues with DeviantArt's opt-in bullshit, now they need to deal with this?
