Summer 2023 with Driveline Baseball🧵
2023: I had the worst year on the mound in my entire life. I worked my ass off over the fall and winter break thinking what i was doing was the right stuff. Doing the stuff I was told would make me better. It wasn’t.
I lost my velocity, command (which had always been my strongest ability since I started pitching at 15), and overall confidence. I thought my career was over. I decided not to give up and knew that, when I put my mind to it and have the proper guidance, no one out works me.
June 2nd. My first day at Driveline. I had been to Driveline when I was 17-18 years old and had excellent results. If anyone ever asked me, I told them Driveline was the reason why I was able to become a college athlete.
I was familiar with how they worked, but I couldn’t even imagine how much they had changed for the better. They were already an amazing program back in 2019-2020 to begin with but the strides they made to make themselves that much better, wow.
I came in and did my initial mocap. 82-84 and topped 86.1 mph. I knew I had gotten worse but to see that in front of me was hard to comprehend. So we went to work hammering the big areas we needed to address.
We move into pitch design/ strength assessments later that week. My trainer taught me how to throw a spike curveball. I had been told to give up on trying to throw a curveball. Now it’s one of my best pitches. Strength assessment started in the 89th percentile. Start weight 212.2
August 10th. I’ve been doing Driveline all summer and have put my entire being into it. I changed my sleep patterns, my eating habits, I quit drinking and I worked my ass off. My strength scores now sit in the 95th percentile for all athletes and I’m in the best shape of my life.
August 10th. I sat 89 mph and hit the first 92.0 mph I had ever seen in my life. Not only that, but I hit multiple 90s and 91s as well. (Only got 91.5 on video)
This thread is for anyone who is questioning whether or not to choose Driveline. I have no doubt in my mind that this is the best program in the world to build yourself as a pitcher. From the atmosphere, to the knowledge, to the dedication to their athletes. No one does it better
Thank you to
