Which is ok by the way. This regime has scarred fans. And our wins aren’t necessarily sexy. All DA had to do was blow out a bad Bears team and the city woulda threw a parade. Struggling to beat them with a +5 turnover ratio just has many fans feeling apathetic sadly.
@EzekielCaselton
If we play football like this en route to the NFC South crown, I think Loomis is forced to make a move. Not to DA, but someone will be fall guy (Pete?). If we actually start looking like a competent team en route to the NFC South crown, then yes, Loomis will triple down on the…
@AwsomeSauce_em
You think it’s that? I think it’s moreso fans have seen enough data on DA that it feels like we’re trapped into this brand of football that leaves a lot to be desired, even if this year it leads us to a playoff run (which I’m all for)
@JonoBarnes
Expectation was always to lead this crappy division, just feels like Saints should be further ahead and playing better football. That's all
@futurenbagov
I accepted what a DA coached team was by mid point last season. I’m content with winning the division in any way possible. I do agree that the way we look when we play football just leaves a lot to be desired. “Exciting” is not a word I’d use to describe the DA Saints lol
@PeteyWeeStro
I think Carr has been fine the last two weeks. He’s actually played the last two weeks the way we should have expected him to when we signed him. Middle of the pack-ish
@LakersNola
Yup and fans are just scarred from DA/Pete. I get it. The more we win though the more fanaticism will take over even the most jilted fan. If we win NFC South, I still expect city to be poppin the week of the playoff game.
@JonoBarnes
Two reasons on my part:
1.) We don't deserve it. We won in spite of coaching. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about it, but we're far from being good.
2.) For every positive step forward the team takes, it seems they take four steps back. Lack of consistency is frustrating.
@JonoBarnes
Every win feels like it comes with cautious optimism this year.
But, the NFC honestly feels pretty wide open. I think the Eagles are a shaky 8-1, so the title is still up for grabs.
@HPMZinn
I’d say it’s Eagles-49ers level one, Cowboys-Lions level two, then the rest. We’d need some crazy injury luck + a perfectly timed hot streak to make a legit run in January.
