SUVs look 100x better, tow 3 tons, and have the same features. You also get the pleasure of stopping at every gas station America has to offer.
Our family has been doing the hardcore American suburban adventure thing for the last week. Some observations:
(1) Any family that chooses an SUV over a minivan is making an entirely ego-driven purchase. These mobile living rooms are the ideal suburban land yacht

That doesnt lookbetter. Gives me tons of anxiety. They make soccer practice absolutely miserable as no one can pull out or park or have any room to move bc everyone unnecessarily brings giant cars and trucks for a packed place w kids in parking lot they can’t see over giant hoods

That is hideous looking (as equally as the minivan is). They also cost exponentially more and most people don’t tow a thing. They ship things if it’s that urgent

Absolutely doesn't have the same features. The rear deck is much higher, making it harder to load and unload my double stroller or large wagons. Plus sliding rear doors are simply amazing in parking lots.

That looks like shit honestly, the engine bay is way oversized for anything they would actually put in there. It's way too tall for having mediocre clearance, making it absolutely useless off-road. This also means people behind you can't see the stoplight and we have slow starts.
