It’s the best feeling when you ask your kids to read a clients’ manuscript, & you watch 3 heads with your iPad & they keeping laughing together at the same time. And they get to this place where 1 of them says, “Yo, this kid has problems; he’s hilarious” & then they laugh AGAIN!

And while I cheat—work wise—showing my kids the kidlit material in my inbox, I also LOVE when they find something that makes them forget about tv and video games, and I feel so accomplished as a parent…and an agent because as I always say, my clients are the damn business!

Yeeeeeeeeees! I love this. This is my absolute fav when my kids read my stuff and then I find them acting it out and laughing later on. I’m like parenting and writing win!

Ah, one of those rare agents who has kid's book manuscripts read by an Actual Child! Should be almost a requirement. Legend has it this is how Harry Potter got started.
