Well, you’re wrong. Steely Dan’s great. Donald Fagen, however, is flawed (read his book). And, Rickie Lee Jones opened for them, so, who knows how this got messed up.

Love the Dan. Always have. Absolutely fantastic live. One of the most innovative bands ever. Fagen is a perfectionist genius. Would be good to get the full story here; but doesn't reduce the brilliance of Steely Dan.

Could never understand why anyone would dislike Royal Scam/Aja & by implication Nightfly. There again I know people who claim Queen were better than the Beatles & don't regard Born to Run as a masterpiece. As a friend of mine says about sports teams 'it's all about opinions'
