I mostly held it together all week but just now I tied a scarf around my almost 3 year old’s face and explained that there are bad germs everywhere and it broke me. I’m broken.

I’m so sorry Jamie. But while it may be upsetting, just know you’re being the best mama you can be with her. That’s your priority. Take stock of that. Stay well.

Turn it around by having a family arts-and-crafts session.
Make really great masks.
I love the sound of your voice and laugh every workday, how you sometimes look directly into the camera and punctuate what you just said with your facial expression. LOL.
Keep your head up.

I am so sorry you have to face this as a young parent. We each have difficulties to overcome surrounding this crisis. Take it as comfort that we can now all be sensitive about each other. ❤️❤️ I am in the middle of chemotherapy and weep daily for everyone else!

Often kids respond positively to the idea that they are helping other people (esp other kids/their friends) by doing something. Framing mask wearing as helping others from getting sick might take some of the fear away. Sunny might be too young for this idea, dunno.
