“Don’t move. I’m coming to get you. I just need you in my arms right now.” CNN just showed this mom in Santa Clarita who finally got her son on the phone after the shooting at his high school and I wanna jump into the TV and hug her

@JamieStelter @brianstelter Not sure why cable networks need to cover shootings for hours when almost no new information is coming out. It would have more impact if on the half hour and hour they kept their audience updated.

@JamieStelter @brianstelter I'm listening to CNN at my desk and I did not expect that line to get me the way it did. Started crying.

@JamieStelter @jorgeramosnews Thank you @LynetteRomero for bringing us this relatable, emotional interview. Incredibly powerful - we all shook with tears, as his Mother *finally* talked with her Son. @KTLA #SaugusStrong

@JamieStelter @jwgop I saw another student being interviewed. Her mom had her arms wrapped around this girl’s waist. That mom was clearly not letting go any time soon, couldn’t let go, and it just broke me. I saw myself in that mother.

@JamieStelter @carlisaimon after Columbine, I told my son who was in high school that if he felt or thought anything weird was going on, to just get off campus asap. however, knowing him, he would have stayed with his friends. He died at age 35 in an accident. i am bereft, as are the parents today.

@JamieStelter I am a former teacher. Most of us would be totally gutted with not being able to keep kids safe. We weep for those killed & injured and also for the loss of any sense of security. The fear & trauma will be with them, parents and teachers forever. 🇺🇸, Do Something.
