We can see the objective fact that bombs are being dropped on civilians, yet Westminster politicians are mincing words instead of showing leadership. We need a ceasefire to save lives.

No-one will argue with those sentiments - but how do you negotiate a ceasefire with a medieval death cult like Hamas? And what impact do you think the mayor of the north tyne authorities and the UK leader of the opposition will have?

Thereโs a world of difference between cheaply calling for one and actually achieving one. Groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah donโt have a great track record of abiding by them either!

We had a ceasefire prior to 7/10๐คทโโ๏ธ
Canโt think who broke it costing 1400+ lives.
Why are Israel not allowed to get at the perpetrators?
Uk assisted Bombing Iraq not so long ago where civilians died.
War is horrible but sometimes necessary when evil appears.

Israel, Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria will only have a ceasefire if they decide on it. Neither side can't have a ceasefire on it's own. Nothing discussed by either side in Westminster will change that.
