If you oppose reparations, you are not an ally to Black Americans. This viewpoint is incongruent with any alliance. If you cannot acknowledge the injustices Black Americans have and continue to endure, you're not a friend. You're an enemy.

@queenie4rmnola I give students examples like this: If you invaded your neighbor's house, and stole all their belongings and savings, harmed them brutally, the law would require prison time as well as monetary damages. No one can deny that such justice is required, so why is slavery different?
