Only six teams have failed to produce the NFL's Most Valuable Player:
- Cardinals
- Jaguars
- Jets
- Buccaneers
- Saints
- Texans
Which franchise will have an MVP first?
@JKMJX3
Idk if I’d ever get over the fact that after literally stealing the MVP from Drew just to make Manning look better in 2009, they disrespected Drew in 2011 like that! 2 votes?
WTH 🤬
@alpa_denaik
I agree, even though he had better stats than Rodgers. GB was 15-1 opposed to 13-3 like the Saints, so I guess they overlooked him as always.
@JKMJX3
Should have read all the shit that Peter King put up justifying Manning over Brees and Rodgers over Brees. I think he convinced a lot of people to vote them over Brees. It is just disgusting.
@ap1865saintsfan
Never read it and TBH don’t ever want too. I liked Manning but couldn’t stand people infatuation with him. Made me dislike him towards the end of his career.
@QuinHillyer
True, he did win OPOY though.
At this point, it’s basically a QB award.
Last time a non-QB win was 2012 and it took an absolute historic season by AP to dethrone, Manning, who you know they wanted to give it to.
@JKMJX3
I’m not sure if I’d give Brees MVP or not in 2011 but Rodgers should’ve won by the skin of his teeth, not garnered 48 votes. 2009 was highway robbery and no one can convince me otherwise. Hell they used the efficiency argument against Brees in 2011, yet when Brees was more
@JKMJX3
He should’ve won in 2009 and 2011, without a doubt. He probably would have won in 2013 if Peyton Manning hadn’t gone absolutely apeshit and broken every meaningful passing record. And he was the MVP in 2018 through 13 weeks, and would’ve won if Mahomes hadn’t gone ballistic.
@JKMJX3
I can understand '11 only because the Saints lost to Green Bay, but never '09
It sucks that Brees lost MVP in '09, '11, and '18 for reasons Rodgers, Manning, and Mahomes won them
