Wow it really does hurt knowing you can't shake the knowledge you support the party of oppression and racism. That your party fought to keep the slaves, you voted down every amendments to end the unjust treatment of blacks and now you help keep them on the plantation of welfare.

And also remember that until the early 1930's Republicans were liberals and Democrats were conservative. So conservatives have always been against equality and liberals have always been for it.
