Disney will never sacrifice the Chinese box office to have an out gay character in a major animated or live action feature and that tells you everything you need to know about how much the largest entertainment company in the world really cares about LGBTQNB representation.

The truth is we will all know when they actually give us an openly gay character on screen because we would see it and we wouldn't need some headline to tell us that they are because the actual movie doesn't address it. It's all just been lip service

Of course. Because any gay character or reference to a gay character has to be easily edited out so the movie can be shown in China.
In order for Disney to have a true gay character, it has to give up on the entire Chinese market for that movie which Disney would never do.

Actuallty Black Widow, Eternals, and Shang Chi, the majority of the marvel movies have been banned in China. and yet they still are releasing them.
