Why the U.S. didnโt provide
#Ukraine
with many more M-2 Bradleys than we did is an utter mystery to me. 40-year-old, combat-proven technology successfully goes toe-to-toe with the best equipment the
#Russian
army has in the field today.
@InfoAgeStrategy
That is insane. The US Army operates around 3,700 Bradley Fighting Vehicles and holds an additional 2,800 in storage.Jan 3, 2024 (European Security and Defense). Does Biden need permisson form Congress to send used mothballed equipment?
@InfoAgeStrategy
That would be a 40-year-old, combat-proven technology, that still costs over a million, a piece, to field, and it gets killed by a 700 dollar drone. Do the math.
Actually, look up something called a Military Technical Revolution and a Revolution in Military Affairs. c. 1995.
@InfoAgeStrategy
It's not about winning for the U.S it's about prolonging the war for as long as possible. After 20 years of military profits in Afghanistan, Ukraine is its replacement.
@InfoAgeStrategy
@seadawg7878
We gave them what we had that was ready to use. The rest of the Bradley vehicles we have in storage are mostly worn out junk that would need to be stripped down to the hull and re-manufactured. The ODS Bradleys were upgraded and stored in good shape.
@InfoAgeStrategy
It doesn't surprise me anymore because as soon as they see it works too well, then they immediately cut it because it ruins their preferred course of a negotiated settlement cough cough (land for peace deal).
@InfoAgeStrategy
Because they did too well. The WH didnt expect the bradleys do as well as they did, limited bradleys limits Ukraine capabilities to attack russia
@InfoAgeStrategy
Because they are too effective. Thatโs the only reason. Also they only reason thru are sending 500 scrap ish to morroco. Ukraine would have get most of them in working order.
@InfoAgeStrategy
It seems they take advice from Charap, who wrote that Western tech won't make any difference in the theatre. The opposite is the truth.
