BREAKING: Joe Biden has chosen Rep. Deb Haaland to head the Interior Department, The Washington Post reports. Haaland, who is from the Pueblos of Laguna and Jemez, would make history as the first Native American to serve as a Cabinet secretary.

Hmmm- I am beginning to question Biden and Harris administration . So far all of their picks are qualified for the position. Why are they not appointing their offsprings, in-laws and friends of the family that have no experience to be in their team!?!?!?! ππ

Iβm cautiously optimistic. Please remember that if she accepts, weβve lost an Indigenous voice in Congress. We just have to ensure that the Dems retain her seat in the special election.

Can you think of any community in America that has such a close relationship, love & respect for the land? Makes you think: why did this not happen before?
Great & historic choice!!

Congratsππ»πππ»π but have to ask, she has a very norvegian/scandinavian last name....as a norvegian this makes me curious...is that her married name, or?

I'm sad to lose my excellent Representative in the House of Representatives, but I'm happy for the United States of America to be gaining such an excellent human being to run the Department of the Interior.
