Big emphasis on the IF. There's a trend of young local talent opting out of college to rather play ELF and stay home in Europe. Those are the guys who I especially mean with this tweet.

acceptance of the european level in the US, development of the local game and the slowly growing pool of players opting out of college recruitment to rather stay home and develope in europe.

Serious question. Why would any team waste a draft pick on a European kid that opted out of playing college for the ELF when they can just IPP for the free spot? I'm guessing by your tweet you feel the league will be on par with D1 collegeball to say guys willget draftedeveryyear

They won't be on par with D1 programs, I don't believe that. Kids are opting outs for all kind of reason's, academics, staying closer to the family and some sometimes just get overlooked or underrecruited, while some just weren't ready when they should've as 18yr olds.

Will not happen. Even before the ELF, 18/19years old players in Europe had to master a big learning curve when the went from youth to the adult level. I don't see the elf willing to spend time and money on developing players. They have money in mind, not developing players

As much as I would hope it for the players, I am not sure if the league will still exist by then. This and next year will be important for them because some already have financial issues

Even in 20 years this will not be the case. In the USA young players from Pop Warner onwards enjoy up to 10 training sessions a week. We are galaxies away from that. But Football will continue to improve in Europe, and that is good news.

I guess it depends on if the ELF/European teams can get their youth programs on higher level and how much emphasis they will put on their development. The level of play in Europe is very basic from point of understanding the game, scheme, strength and conditioning. One big IF.
