For too long, in Uganda, corruption has been fought by 6-figure-salaried politicians & technocrats in chauffeur-driven top-of-the-range vehicles, with comprehensive health insurance policies, in AC'd boardrooms, in 5-star hotels, & Business Class seats on airplanes...
, in Europe and America.
Really, what do such people know about the cost and pain of corruption that they should put everything into it?
In fact, many of them are beneficiaries and perpetrators of corruption...
…. Even civil society, when they see greener pastures, they migrate from the war vs corruption to where donor money is – eg if donor interest shifts to refugees, civil society change their funding proposals to the resettlement of refugees.
If donor interests turn to the fight against AIDS OR COVID 19….. civil society request for funding proposal changes wording….
“Mainstreaming” is the new magic word where one needs to mainstream a certain
#interest
in order to get the attention they desire.
If you look around the civil society organizations you work with, you might find that a sizeable percentage of worriers vs corruption in many civil society organizations are fairly new others having moved on.

We all saw the letter your boss wrote to you! If he can't let you do your job, why then are you still employed if no corruption is involved - btw not forgetting your history as the minister of lands.
