Stealing from #Government benefits only a few people, while the majority suffer! In 2002, Parliament enacted the Leadership Code Act that requires leaders in Govt to declare their wealth to the IG every two years and explain how they acquired it. Others declare every five years

One might ask; - Why did Government enact this law? - Why engage the public on a matter that seems to be strictly for leaders and public officials? and - What is the role of the public in monitoring and enforcing this law?

The government had to make sure that leaders and public officers do not steal money from public coffers to enrich themselves at the expense of service delivery.

@IGGBetiKamya You're talking about stealing, what are you doing about the iron sheets and @nssfug scandals? You've not initiated any investigations concerning those matters but you're here masquerading as the #IGG ! #InutileInstitution

@IGGBetiKamya Solution to fighting corruption is coming to reality the human can never work at 100% efficiency, instead u shud focus on rating the effectiveness of civil servants in percentage, if board complies at 75% plus, give it distinction n award, 50% plus give them credit caution them

@IGGBetiKamya If this stunt was enacted to fight corruption you have been hunting in the wrong Bush. Just visit China or UAE and see how they fight corruption or even near by Rwanda otherwise stop wasting out time

@IGGBetiKamya Imagine a thief being asked to self declare his loot. This facet of the leadership code act is ironically ridiculous.
