“Spanish” flu it was not. It was probably 🇺🇸’s biggest contribution to 14-18 war. Think your estimate of deaths is low. But Attlee came at end of 39-45 War 👍🌟/domestic politics not too bad till Thatcher-worry was Cold War- USAF overhead & US nuclear subs in sight of beach.

Great post! Thankfully my grandparents all except one lived into their 90s and grandma Kepler was especially sharp as a tack until her last few days. As a big history buff I always enjoyed asking her about what life was like for her growing up. She remembers voting for FDR……
